Material examined. SRI LANKA: Lectotype ♀ (here designated), ‘ Type H. T’ ‘ Tambila fletcheri Dist. type’ ‘ Nuwara Eliya, Ceylon, iv.1912 ’ ‘ Ceylon, T. B. Fletcher, 1909 80’ ( BMNH).
Remarks. This species was described from an unknown number of specimens (syntypic) with the following data: ' Ceylon; Nuwara Eliya (Bainbrigge Fletcher)’. It is known only from the female lectotype and can be recognized by the brownish yellow head and thorax contrasting with the darker remainder of the body. The female seventh sternite is similar to that of T. conspersa , but T. fletcheri differs in being much paler in colour and lacking brown maculations.
