Distribution (fig. 9). Israel, Turkey, Russia (Astrakhan Oblast, Volgograd Oblast, Saratov Oblast, Novosibirsk Oblast, Altaiskii Krai), Kazakhstan (Atyrau Region, Ulytau Region, East Kazakhstan Region, Almaty Region), Kirgizstan, Mongolia (Khovd Province, Govi-Altai Province, Bayankhongor Province, Ömnögovi Province, Dornogovi Province), China (Inner Mongolia). This species was recorded for Northern Iran ( Lukjanovich and Ter-Minassian 1957).
Remarks. This species from “Nor- Saisan” was described by the materials of F.A. Gebler (Barnaul). A female was illustrated in Fischer von Waldheim 1824: Tabl. 57, figs. 4a-f. The number of type specimens is not known. There are no types in the collections of the ZIN and the Gebler’s collection from the Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle, France, Paris (A. Mantilleri, pers. comm.). Gebler (1848) wrote that there are two forms of this species with enlarged and simple metatibiae of males collected together. It can be assumed that there were two species in the type series. The females of these species are easily distinguished by the shape of the head and a clypeus. The head illustrated (fig. 6h) in Fischer von Waldheim's work belongs to a species known as Rh. mannerheimi . The female of Rh. solskyi from the type locality “L. Nor- Saisan”, “ Rhaebus Gebleri Fisch., L. Nor-Saisan ” (ZIN) does not match the illustration in Fischer von Waldheim (1824). We attribute the name Rh. gebleri to Rh. mannerheimi , syn. nov. and placed it to synonyms. Two species, Rh. komarovi Lukjanovich 1939 , syn. nov. and Rh. amnoni Lopatin et Chikatunov 2000 , syn. nov., were described. These names are synonymous with Rh. gebleri since the form of the aedeaguses of the type specimens are identical. The species is quite variable in the thickening of the metafemora in males. The specimens with weakly enlarged metafemora were classified as Rh. gebleri by Lukjanovich (1939). The species develops on Nitraria schoberi Linnaeus, 1759 and N. sibirica Pallas, 1784 ( Lukjanovich 1939; Legalov, pers. comm.). It is probably connected with Nitraria roborowskii Komarov, 1908 in Alashan. It is not clear this species on what species of Nitraria Linnaeus, 1759 was collected in Israel ( Lopatin and Chikatunov 2000).
