Inostemma senegalensis Risbec, 1950: 618 , figs 86a–c.
Current status. Inostemma senegalense
Holotype Ƥ, Sénégal, Bambey ( MNHN). Holotype by monotypy.
Labels. Inostemma / senegalensis / Risbec [holotype Ƥ].
Remarks. This type was formerly at the Section Technique d’Agriculture Tropicale du Ministère de la France d’Outre–Mer ( STAT) at Nogent–sur–Marne, but was transferred to the MNHN ( Risbec 1950). Although not labelled as a type, the specimen has the horn on the first metasomal tergite slightly bent to the left and the apex of the gaster turned up slightly, just as in Risbec’s illustration and is certainly the same specimen that Risbec had in front of him. The holotype is dry-mounted on a microscope slide, with the cover slip ringed with paraffin wax. It is entire, with the head, propleura and front legs broken off but present, and is clean.
