Distribution in Iran. Ardabil ( Modarres Awal 1996a; Linnavuori 2007), Guilan ( Wagner 1961; Linnavuori 2007), Hormozgan ( Seidenstücker 1987), Khorasan ( Modarres Awal 1996b), Semnan, Zanjan ( Linnavuori 2007). General distribution. Euromediterranean, extending to the Middle East and Middle Asia. Comments. Askari et al. (2009) reported an unknown species of Emblethis from apple orchards of Zanjan; this is probably E. griseus .
