Coloration ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 10–18 ) of dorsal surface of prothorax, elytron and pygidium iridescent, ranging from metallic blue to green and purple; dorsal surface of head and sides of thorax greenishgolden; legs dark ferruginous, mostly covered by bluish to purple lustre; antenna black. Head. As in Fig. 33 View FIGURES 26–35 . Gena 0.99 X as long as width of head immediately behind eyes. Contours of genae in dorsal view markedly converging anteriad. Vertex subglabrous; laterally weakly transversely rugulose, behind eye with very few minute punctures. Profile of vertex with marked constriction immediately behind eye. Ventral surface of head in front of gular region moderately sculptured; with shallow median furrow, posteriorly with shallow transverse wrinkles, anteriorly with curved wrinkles paralleling margins of eyes. Rostrum 1.88 X as long as mouthparts; at widest point 1.52 X wider than at base; in profile dorsal contour above antennal insertion with weak rounded prominence, anteriorly in straight line to apex; ventral contour continuous with head, in almost straight line to apex; ventrally on submentum subglabrous, with few short suberect setae. Mouthparts. Prementum at base 1.6 X wider than long, ca. 2.6 X wider than at apex; with straight lateral margins converging apicad; apical processes subangulate, subequal in length, median process slightly shorter, dorsoventrally on same level as lateral processes. Antenna slender, as in Fig. 65 View FIGURES 56–72 . Prothorax as long as wide (1.00 X); preapical constriction absent; disc evenly convex, shining, impunctate; sides with few small punctures. Metanotum with pair of distinct lateral lobes. Elytron 2.41 X longer than wide; striae weakly impressed. Thoracic venter. Height of pterothorax 0.76 X length of elytron. Procoxa in anterior aspect 1.27 X as long as wide. Legs. Profemur subsymmetrically clavate, moderately swollen, thickest at 0.32 of length from apex, at base with indistinct stalk. Protibia in basal half straight, in apical half weakly curved ventrad; ventral contour slightly sinuate, subparallel to dorsal contour. Mesotibia dorsally before apex with subangulate lobe, its apical edge leading obliquely towards uncus; overall shape of tibia subtriangular. Mesotarsus straight, relatively short, 2.4 X as long as wide. Metatibia of similar size as mesotibia. Abdomen. Ventral contour anteriorly straight in lateral view, sternite VI projecting bluntly angulate, with marked constriction between sternite VI and VII. Venter subglabrous, with sparse short subrecumbent setae; sternite VI with median knob in front of posterior margin. Pygidium 1.03 X wider than long; shining throughout; almost impunctate, with few scattered, minute punctures. Genitalia. Apex of tergite VIII curved in evenly convex line. Sternite VIII as in Fig. 180 View FIGURES 170–186 . Tegminal plate ( Fig. 125 View FIGURES 119–130 ) with sides moderately converging apicad; apical edge subtruncate, densely setose with moderately long setae. Aedeagus. Apical scoop of pedon ( Fig. 153 View FIGURES 148–159 ) ca. 1.29 X as long as wide, with lateral margins weakly convex, converging; apex subangulate. Tectum as in Fig. 137 View FIGURES 136–147 ; lateral frame converging with straight sides to narrow, rounded apex; subapically with broad lateral arms. TA as in Fig. 91 View FIGURES 91–93 ; relatively simple; sides of frame diverging towards apex; transfer processes basally articulated inside of frame of TA, approximately reaching frame´s apex; base of transfer processes at about middle of frame; without distinct dorsal plate; internal support structures of ductus ejaculatorius short, not reaching level of basal sclerites; basal sclerites ca. 0.40 X of total length of TA. Cuticle of endophallus in apical 0.43 (of total length of aedeagus) with dense, subtriangular denticles, towards the base with minute sparse setae; in mid portion with pair of twisted sclerites; between these sclerites with few setae such as the ones in the portion more apicad ( Fig. 111 View FIGURES 110–118 ).

Allotype, female. Same as holotype except: length, pronotum + elytron: 3.25 mm. Head as in Fig. 50 View FIGURES 46–55 . Gena 0.89 X as long as width of head immediately behind eyes. Profile of vertex with shallow constriction immediately behind eye. Rostrum 1.74 X as long as mouthparts; at widest point 1.47 X wider than at base. Prothorax 0.95 X as long as wide. Disk at middle with very shallow transverse impression. Elytron 2.33 X longer than wide. Thoracic venter. Height of pterothorax 0.83 X length of elytron. Procoxa in anterior aspect 1.21 X as long as wide. Legs. Dorsal contour of profemur sinuate, in basal third straight, continuing in markedly convex line to apex. Protibia straight; ventral contour sinuate, basal half convex, apical half concave; ventral surface at middle denticulate, subapically smooth, with suberect setae; tibial apex with uncus and distinct premucro; premucro in ventral position. Abdomen. Setose patch of venter 0.95 X as long as wide, consisting of 3 double rows of modified setae. Pygidium 1.05 X wider than long. Genitalia. Sternite VIII as in Fig. 199 View FIGURES 189–202 . Tergite VIII apically rounded. Spermatheca as in Fig. 214 View FIGURES 204–219 ; basally with short siphonlike extension; shape robust; somewhat tapering towards apex. Length of ductus spermathecae plus spermatheca 1.2 X as long as tergite VIII.

Intraspecific variation

Coloration quite variable: either, dorsal surface iridescent metallic blue to purple and lateral / ventral surface brighter metallic greenish blue; or, dorsal surface bright metallic copperygreen and lateral / ventral surface reddishpurple to greenish golden. Scutellum either of greenish color as surrounding area of elytra, or with distinct bluish lustre. Length, pronotum + elytron: males 2.66–3.13 mm (n=2, =2.90); females 3.10–3.28 mm (n=3, =3.21 ± 0.10). Prothorax 1.00–1.01 X as long as wide in males, 0.94–0.97 X as long as wide in females (n=3, =0.95 ± 0.01). Elytron 2.41–2.43 X longer than wide in males (n=2, =2.42), 2.33–2.38 X longer than wide in females (n=3, =2.34 ± 0.03). Thoracic venter. Height of pterothorax 0.75–0.76 X length of elytron in males (n=2, =0.75), 0.76– 0.83 X length of elytron in females (n=3, =0.80 ± 0.03). Legs. In larger male specimen foreleg including protibia proportionally longer than in smaller specimen. Abdomen. Pygidium 1.00–1.03 X wider than long in males (n=2, =1), 1.04–1.06 X wider than long in females (n=3, =1.05 ± 0.02). Female patch of modified setae 0.93–1.00 X as long as wide (n=3, =0.96 ± 0.03).
