DISTRIBUTION. Southern Siberia, Mongolia, China.

RECORD. A large series of specimens with labels “Bashkiria, Podlubovo, ca. 40 km south of Ufa, 1.VIII.1934, from Stipa sp. , A. Zakhvatkin” is deposited in the collection of the Zoological Museum of Moscow State University. This is the first record of H. potanini in European Russia .
