Austria ( Fischer 1958d as Opius bipustulatus ; Fischer 1980, 1981; Hellrigl 1997; Yu et al. 2012), Azerbaijan, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Faeroe Islands, Finland, France, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, USA ( Yu et al. 2012), Belgium ( Wesmael 1835; Yu et al. 2012), England, Ireland ( Marshall 1899; Broad et al. 2012 as Apodesmia irregularis ; Yu et al. 2012), Germany ( Belokobylskij et al. 2003; Yu et al. 2012), Hungary ( Fischer 1989; Yu et al. 2012), Serbia ( Žikić et al. 2013b as Apodesmia irregularis ), Sweden ( Thomson 1895; Yu et al. 2012), Turkey ( Fischer and Beyarslan 2005a, 2011; Yu et al. 2012; Beyarslan and Fischer 2013; Beyarslan 2015).
Host records. Chromatomyia primulae (Robineau-Desvoidy, 1851) ( Diptera : Agromyzidae ); Pegomya solennis (Meigen, 1826) ( Diptera : Anthomyiidae ); Asphondylia verbasci (Vallot, 1826) ( Diptera : Cecidomyiidae ); Hydrellia griseola (Fallen, 1813) ( Diptera : Ephydridae ); Tephritis leontodontis ( De Geer, 1776) ( Diptera : Tephritidae ) ( Yu et al. 2012; Žikić et al. 2013b). It has also been reported from Ancylis mitterbacheriana (Denis et Schiffermüller, 1775) ( Lepidoptera : Tortricidae ) ( Yu et al. 2012).
