Material. Altai Republic, Kosh-Agach District, Kurai Mts, Kuraika River valley , 50º19′21′′ N, 87º58′28′′ E, H = 2150–2200 m, 02– 04.08.2019 (A. Naydenov, K.Naidenova, V. Rudoi), 1 ♀ .

Distribution. Central Asian montane. This is rare species from an endemic genus of the highlands of Central Asia which includes 12 species is recorded for the first time for the fauna of Russia. It known in East Kazakhstan where was described from Koitas mountains (in the Saur Mountains System) near Lake Zaisan, and the Bayan-Ulegey aimak of Western Mongolia ( Kiritshenko 1931; Belousova 1996; Rider 2006).

Species of the genus Mimula inhabit in the highlands from 1700 to 4000 m, mainly in alpine meadows and somewhat less frequently in steppe mountain landscapes ( Belousova 1996). The only female was collected on a forb lawn in a sparse larch forest in the valley of the Kuraika River.
