Sarawakita Obenberger, 1924 View in CoL
The genus Sarawakita was established by Obenberger (1924) with Sarawakita latifrons Obenberger, 1924 as a type species (by original designation). Sarawakita is distinguishing by subtriangularly profound head with raised clypeus; by prosternal lobe demarcated from prosternum by deep fissure and by genae with angulate protrusion. By presence of marginal and submarginal pronotal carinae, prehumerus, prosternal lobe, four abdominal ventrites and long metatarsomere 1 (longer than three following tarsomeres together), it is closest to the genus Agrilus . The peculiar form of pronotal rugae is very similar to Agrilus acutus (Thunberg, 1787) —species group.
