COMMENT
Ros et al. (1996) assigned to this aggregate thee names related to Microbryum starckeanum and M. davallianum whose identification is difficult to assess because the spore ornamentation present intermediate characters between M. davallianum and M. starckeanum or are completely smooth; also they treated as belonging to this aggregate those whose types were destroyed. The Algerian reports included here correspond to the names Pottia appertii Warnst. , Pottia mutica Vent. , and Pottia recurvifolia Warnst.
