Holotype (6890): ♂, Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, from the great kiskadee, Pitangus sulphuratu s (Linnaeus) ( Passeriformes , Tyrannidae ), VIII.2003, coll. M.P. Valim.
Paratypes (6891–683): 5 ♂, 6 ♀, same data as holotype .
