Range: —Greater Antilles; Yucatan peninsula; Guatemala; Guyana; French Guiana, northern Peru, Bolivia (CO, SC), Brazil, northern Argentina, and Paraguay.
Ecology: —Locally fairly common; terrestrial in dry forests; to 1400 m.
Notes: —Easily overlooked in the dry season, when curled up and brownish.
