T y p e m a t e r i a l: Holotype: ♁. Type locality: Brazil (MNHN). Paratype: 1 specimen BRAZIL (no other information available) (WOPC, 1).
D i a g n o s i s: Legs testaceous, except tarsi black; body mostly black; elytra with quadrate yellow fascia.
D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 8.5 mm; width 1.4 mm. Form: As in Fig. 19 View Figs 17-20 . Head: Capitulum quadrate; EW/FW 20/70. Thorax: Pronotal and elytral discs finely punctate; (PL/PW 110/110); (EL/EW 360/90). Abdomen: Aedeagus ( Fig. 77 View Figs 74-82 ).
V a r i a t i o n: Length 6.5-8.5 mm; width 1.0- 1.2 mm.
E t y m o l o g y: The species name, fascia, stems from the Latin word "band".
