D i a g n o s i s: Mostly black, except each elytron with testaceous tripartite-trigonal marking with and posterior linear marking.
D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 8.0 mm; width 1.0 mm. Form: As in Fig. 36 View Figs 33-36 . Head: Frons rough; antenna longer than width across eyes; capitulum slightly acuminate; (EW/FW 35/50). Thorax: Pronotal and elytral discs finely punctate; (PL/PW 130/130); (EL/EW 300/60). Abdomen: Aedeagus ( Fig. 91 View Figs 83-91 ).
E t y m o l o g y: The species name, matamata, constitutes a noun in apposition and refers to the type locality.
