T y p e m a t e r i a l: Holotype: ♀. Type locality: BOLIVIA: S. Cruz Dept ; 4 km N Bermejo , 11- 17-December-2012, Wappes & Skillman. A second label reads: Refugio los Volcanes, 18°16' S 63°36', 1045-1350, meters ( FSCA) . Paratypes: 4 specimens. PERU: Provincia de San Martin ; Tarapoto, Amazones, 4 Tirmestre , 1885, M. de Mathan ( WOPC, 1) ; San Martin; Tarapoto, Mai á Août, 1886, M. de Mathan ( MNHN, 3) .

D i a g n o s i s: Cranium highly setose; pronotum black, highly setose; elytra base and apex highly setose, each elytron with circular fascia; legs densely setose.

D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 9.0 mm; width 2.0 mm. Form: As in Fig. 33 View Figs 33-36 . Head: Capitulum slightly acuminate; (EW/FW 33/88). Thorax: Elytral disc partially roughly punctate; (PL/PW 160/160); (EL/EW 400/40). Abdomen: Aedeagus ( Fig. 88 View Figs 83-91 ).

E t y m o l o g y: The species name, losvolcanes, constitutes a noun in apposition and refers to the type locality.
