T y p e m a t e r i a l: Holotype: ♁. Type locality: Peru, Prov. de Bolivar , Balzapamba,. M de Mathan, III-IV-1894 ( MNHN) . Paratypes: 2 specimens. PERU: Bolivar ; Balzapamba, III-IV-1894, M. de Mathan ( MNHN, 1; WOPC, 1) .
D i a g n o s i s: Cranium, antenna, legs black; pronotal arch black; pronotal proper red; elytra basal 1/3 red, middle 1/3 with yellow macula, posterior 1/3 black but with yellow macula.
D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 8.0 mm; width 2.5 mm. Form: As in Fig. 3 View Figs 1-4 . Head: Capitulum slightly acuminate; (EW/FW 28/80). Thorax: Elytral disc partially roughly punctate; (PL/PW 130/130); (EL/EW 350/95). Abdomen: Aedeagus (Fig. 66).
E t y m o l o g y: The species name, bolivar, constitutes a noun in apposition and refers to the type locality.
