T y p e m a t e r i a l: Holotype: ♀. Type locality: Peru, Cusco, Santa Isabel, Rio Cosnipata , Sancurtamba. A second label reads: 14-XII-1951, 1,700 meters, Worthowski ( WFBM).

D i a g n o s i s: Legs red; body mostly black, except each elytron 2 with yellow maculae, elytral apex setose.

D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 7.0 mm; width 1.5 mm. Form: As in Fig. 14 View Figs 13-16 . Head: Capitulum slightly acuminate; (EW/FW 20/78). Thorax: Elytral disc finely punctate; (PL/PW 110/110); (EL/EW 330/80). Abdomen: Female pygidium scutiform.

E t y m o l o g y: The species name, cosnipata, constitutes a noun in apposition and refers to the type locality.
