D i a g n o s i s: Antenna, cranium, prothorax, legs, and abdomen black; pterothorax red; pronotum with band of white setae; elytral base 1/3 red, also with pale fascia and narrow line, rest of elytra black, elytral apex setose.

D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 6.0 mm; width 1.0 mm. Form: As in Fig. 62 View Figs 61-64 . Head: (EW/FW 20/60). Thorax: Elytral disc roughly punctate; (PL/PW 110/110); (EL/EW 250/50). Abdomen: Aedeagus ( Fig. 109 View Figs 101-110 ).

E t y m o l o g y: The species name, wappesi, constitutes a noun in apposition and honors James E. Wappes.
