Varronia multicapitata (Britton ex Rusby) J.S.Miller (2013: 343) View in CoL (basionym: Cordia multicapitata Britton 1899: 146 View in CoL ).
Previously considered an endemic species of the Chiquitano dry forests in Bolivia, and known only from the type specimen ( Jørgensen et al. 2014). In Brazil, this species was collected in the states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, growing in wooded areas.
