Sinocosmetura Guo, Shi & Chang View in CoL , gen. nov.
Type species: Sinocosmetura sanjiangkouensis Guo, Shi & Chang sp. nov.
Description. Body small and stout. Head short and stout. Fastigium verticis conical, apex rounded. Eyes globular, protruding laterally. Apical segment of maxillary palpus equated in length with subapical segment, apex slightly swollen. Metazona of male pronotum slightly raised, lateral lobe of pronotum narrowing, without humeral sinus. Female pronotum proportionally shorter than that of male.
Male tegmina not reaching, or slightly surpassing posterior margin of pronotum, deposited laterally in female; hind wings absent. Tibial tympana open on both sides, elongate, ovoid. All femora unarmed, pro- and mesotibia with short spines on ventral surfaces, posttibia with a pair of dorsal apical spurs and two pairs of ventral apical spurs.
Male ninth abdominal tergite with lateral surfaces protruding backwards, postero-lateral processes distinctly elongat- ed, curved internally and fused above the genitalia, posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite with triangular concavity, a down-curved process on both sides of the concavity. Genitalia sclerotized, exposed. Subgenital plate with styli. Female ninth abdominal tergite normal. Ovipositor curved upwards, dorsal and ventral margins smooth.
Discussion. The new genus is similar in size and appearance to both Dolicholobosa Bian, Zhu & Shi, 2017 and Macrocosmetura Chang, Wang & Shi, 2021 . It differs from Dolicholobosa Bian, Zhu & Shi, 2017 in male ninth abdominal tergite with lateral surfaces elongated posteriorly, postero-lateral processes distinctly curved internally and fused, then down-curved, and subgenital plate with styli. It differs from Macrocosmetura Chang, Wang & Shi, 2021 in shorter pronotum, postero-lateral processes of male ninth abdominal tergite distinctly elongated and fused above the genitalia; posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite with a concavity and down-curved process on both sides of the concavity; epiproct fused with tenth abdominal tergite.
Etymology. The name of the new genus is from Latin ‘ sin ’ that means ‘Chinese’ and the genus Cosmetura name.
