Neolutosa Gorochov, 2001 View in CoL

Comments. Recently described genus, in appearance very similar to Lutosa , differing in having longer legs ( Fig. 13A View FIGURE 13 ), almost angular projection between lower and hind edges of pronotal lateral lobe ( Fig. 13B View FIGURE 13 ), large paired lobes of tenth tergite of male covering the base of epiproct and with hook-like apices, and triangular or emarginated hind edge of female subgenital plate ( Gorochov 2001b) ( Figs. 13D, F View FIGURE 13 ). Neolutosa includes three species: Neolutosa aculeata Gorochov, 2001b , from Brazil (type species), N. emarginata Gorochov, 2001b from Central America (?) and N. horribilis ( Heleodoro & Mendes, 2016) n. comb., from Brazil Southeast (Espirito Santo).

Distribution. North of Atlantic Forest ( Map 1 View MAP 1 ).

Key to Neolutosa species

- Subgenital plate of female not triangular, and conspicuously emarginate ( Fig. 14F, G View FIGURE 14 ). Fore femur with ventral basal half and dorsally apex whitish in color ( Fig. 14A, B View FIGURE 14 )..................................................... N. emarginata View in CoL

2. Subgenital plate of male almost twice as long as wide ( Fig. 13E View FIGURE 13 ). Paired lobes of the last tergite little separated at the base, more elongated than the previous species, and with the distal region pointed ( Fig. 13D View FIGURE 13 ). Apex of female subgenital plate with a small V-shaped notch.............................................................................. N. aculeata View in CoL

- Subgenital plate of male, as long as wide ( Fig. 13G View FIGURE 13 ). Paired lobes of the last tergite widely separated at the base, moderately elongated and with a rounded distal region ( Fig. 13F View FIGURE 13 ).
