Female: dorsal idiosomal shield mostly smooth, with lateral striations; bearing 17 pairs of setae, all (except j1 and Z5) short, Z5 serrated; posterior margin of sternal shield with a tongue-shaped median lobe. Epigynal shield smooth. Peritremes extending forward to j3. Ventrianal shield vase-shaped, smooth; solenostomes gv3 posterior to JV2. Calyx of spermathecal apparatus tubular, atrium fusiform. Specimen examined. Rarotonga, 1 female (labelled as Euseius ovaloides ), ex. Capsicum sp. leaves, associated with broad mite, 25 May 1992, by J. G. Charles (#92-162).
Remarks. This species was previously recorded on Hau ( Hibiscus tiliaceus ) from Aitutaki ( Collyer 1980). We now record this species from Rarotonga for the first time. This species is distributed in about 13 countries in the Afrotropical, Australasian, Oriental, Nearctic, and Palaearctic regions ( Moraes et al. 2004; Demite et al. 2018).
