Trichophysetis zariensis sp. n.
Imago (fig. 18): Wingspan 10–12mm. Head white, maxillary palpus whitish, tufted, labial palpus pale brown apex darker. Thorax and tegulae white. Forewing white, a partial subbasal fascia pale brown with a black dot towards dorsum, double antemedian curved fascia with blackish dot on outer line below fold, double curved postmedian fascia, termen pale brown especially towards costa. Hindwing markings as forewing.
Male genitalia (fig. 60): Uncus tapered, gnathous 0.8 × length of uncus, valva club-shaped, sacculus with a curved apex dentate on the inside, a pair of processes arising from vinculum which terminate with a bunch of hairs; aedeagus straight and simple, length equal to that of tegumen and uncus.
Female genitalia: not known.
Diagnosis: Similar to Trichophysetis apicefulva but with a very straight costa and fascias of the forewing angled towards the costa.
Life history: Not known.
Derivation; from the name of the type locality.

Type material: Holotype ♂ North Nigeria, Zaria, Samaru 30.vi.1978 J.C. Deeming.
