Differential diagnosis. Members of this species are outwardly very similar to O. oligoxanthum members, from which they reliably differs only in endophallus structure, and by have two setae on metacoxa.

Redescription. Body length 4.6–6.2 mm. Habitus (Figs. 59–61).

Color: head, pronotum and elytra rufopiceous, legs and antennae brownish yellow. Mandibles dark rufopiceous, their apical part dark brown, almost black. Venter rufopiceous. Dark pattern on elytra, pronotum, and head dark green.

Head fairly flat, faintly wrinkled, coarsely punctate on vertex and near eyes, smooth on frons, with several coarse punctures near the border with the clypeus. Subocular ridge well developed, curved upwards and slightly rounded. Pale pattern on head V-shaped and well-developed. Clypeus slightly convex and bisetose. Labrum with moderately rounded sides and six setae, anterior margin of labrum bisinuate. Antennal scape unisetose at apex, antennomeres 3 and 4 smooth, only with some longer setae around the apex, 5–11 pubescent. Gula nearly smooth, gena coarsely punctate and wrinkled near eyes. HW: 1.9–2.07 mm.

Pronotum (PL: 1.53–1.6 mm, PW: 3.0– 3.39 mm.) moderately convex, base bisinuate on each side, sides unevenly rounded, with narrow border. Green pattern of pronotum broad, well developed on base and disc, obsolete laterally and anteriorly. Anterior angles strongly raised anteriorly. Pronotum coarsely and evenly punctate. Median impression shallow, weakly developed. Prosternum and proepisternum coarsely but sparsely and unevenly punctate, proepipleura smooth.

Elytra (EL: 3.53–4.4 mm, EW: 5.37– 4.44 mm.) moderately convex, humerus unusually prominent. Green elytral pattern with clear boundaries, relatively narrow and reduced; consisting of three bands. Form of elytral pattern varies. Apical band joined with median band and median band with the basal band on the tenth interstria in some specimens. Elytra with 15 striae. Striae deep, distinctly punctate, punctures broad and deep. Intervals weakly convex on the disc, moderately convex laterally.

Venter ( Fig. 56 View FIGURES 54–56 ). Mesepisternum smooth. Metasternum sparsely punctate in center, and smooth on the sides; metepisternum and metepimeron coarsely but sparsely and unevenly punctate, elytral epipleura smooth. Ventrites smooth. Metacoxa with two seta, otherwise in most specimens, with one asymetrically-placed puncture in a few specimens.

Aedeagus ( Fig. 65 View FIGURES 65–67 ). Median lobe relatively short and stout, ventral side slightly arcuate at mid length, apical quarter of lobe slightly downturned. Apex almost straight in lateral view. Apical lamella in dorsal view acute, sides straight and convergent to the narrowly rounded tip. Endophallus with two relatively narrow and continuous groups of short spines arranged in a “Z”-shape ( Figs. 68–71 View FIGURES 68–71 ).

Comments. Probably, label Syntype was added by mistake to specimens from Okahandja (2 ♁, 1 ♀, syntypes O. oligoxanthus, ETHZ ), because in original description indicated 6 type specimens, all from “nördl. Sandfeld zwischen Löwenomuramba und Owangowa-Veld, v. Zastrow”.

Distribution. Republic of South Africa, Namibia (Map. 5).
