Diagnosis. Temelucha basiornata lacks obvious morphological characters to easily differentiate it from other Temelucha species in the subregion. The coloration of metasoma is an useful cue, all tergites being reddish orange with a median blackish macula of variable size.
Description. Rousse et al. (2011).
Distribution records. Reunion (new record). Madagascar (Rousse et al. 2011). Ghana, South Africa.
