Material examined. Holotype male: BRAZIL, Minas Gerais, Sapucaí-Mirim: 6.ix.1986; Paratype: 1 female, 6.ii.1986, São Paulo, Campos do Jordão; 1 nymph, 1–17.i.1986, BRAZIL, São Paulo, Campos do Jordão.
Diagnostic characters. General color light brown, length of forewing 15.5 mm in male and 16.6–20.7 mm in females; tergum 10 of males triangular, and apex rounded; paraprocts of male thin, apex rounded; epiproct with relatively long teeth; base of antennae, legs and sterno-pleurae with long hairs; pronotum of nymphs with a small pair of central elevations and spines on abdominal terga 1–10; spine of tergum 10 long and straight.
