Material examined. Holotype male: BRAZIL, São Paulo, Salesópolis, Estação Biológica de Boracéia, pedreira: 11.ix.1990. Paratype: 1 female, same data as holotype except for: 9.viii.1990; 1 nymph, same data as holotype except for: 12.vii.1988.
Diagnostic characters. General color light brown, length of fore wing 13.0– 15.1 mm in males and 17.6–18.6 mm in females ( Froehlich 1993); male tergum 10 triangular, apex rounded; paraprocts of male large, simple apex rounded; few longer bristles in some cercomeres in basal half of cerci ( Froehlich 1993); female subgenital plate straight without lobes or apical notch ( Froehlich 1993); pronotum of nymphs with two pairs of long spines, meso- and metanotum with a pair of anterior spines and an unpaired posterior one; abdominal spines of the seventh or eighth to tenth segments progressively longer, that of tergum 10 long and straight ( Froehlich 1993).
