Architis altamira View in CoL sp. nov.
Figures 8C–D View FIGURES 8 , 11 View FIGURE 11
Type material. Holotype: female, Castelo dos Sonhos, Altamira , state of Pará, Brazil 08º17’15”S, 54º59’55”W, D.F. Candiani, 12 November 2005 ( MPEG 2908 View Materials ) GoogleMaps . Paratype: Female, same locality as holotype, 10 November 2005, D.F. Candiani & D.R. Santos-Souza ( IBSP 71414 View Materials ) GoogleMaps .
Etymology. The specific name is a noun in apposition taken from the type locality.
Diagnosis. Architis altamira sp. nov. is close to A. comaina sp. nov. and A. ikuruwa with which it shares the epigynal MF which is appressed under the LL ( Figs 7C View FIGURES 7 , 8A, C View FIGURES 8 ) and the CD which is encapsulated in an interior fold of the epigynal wall ( Figs 7D View FIGURES 7 , 8B, D View FIGURES 8 ). It can be differentiated from these species by the presence of an irregularly shaped, sclerotised case encapsulating the CD close to the stalk of each spermatheca and the presence of a pair of cuticular flaps of the internal genitalia ( Fig. 8D View FIGURES 8 ).
