Morphology. Head distinctly wider than pronotum. Face including eyes wider than long, lora small. Clypellus projecting beyond genae, gradually widened distally and truncate. Scutellum slightly longer than median length of mesonotum and scutellum together. Hind tibial macrosetae PD 14–19.

Male genitalia. Pygofer elongate, triangular, narrow at base, gradually broadened and narrow terminally; inner processes near or surpassing the caudal margin. Subgenital plate shorter than pygofer. Aedeagal shaft curved, dorsal apodeme often poorly developed. Connective small, with stem shorter than the combined width of the arms.

Female genitalia. Posterior margin of seventh sternite concave. Second valvulae regularly broadened, bearing teeth along dorsal margin.

Distribution. China (Guangxi, Guizhou, Shanxi, Taiwan, Yunnan and Zhejiang).

Paramritodus closely resembles Amritodus but differs in having the inner subapical cell open (crossvein m-cu1 absent) and outer subapical cell closed (crossvein r-m1 present) on the forewings, the connective stem shorter than the combined width of the arms and two platellae on the hind basitarsus.
