Diagnosis
This species is superficially similar to N. distigmata sp. nov. They can be well defined by the male and female genitalia as noted in the preceding new species.
Adult ( Figures 10–11 View Figures 6–13 ). Wingspan 14–16mm. Head and frons dark greyish brown. Labial palpus long and dark brown tinged with yellowish white. Thorax black brown. Tegula greyish brown. Forewing cleft from two-thirds, ground colour greyish brown black. First lobe less acute, second lobe produced. Termen rather not sinuate on first lobe, but developed on second lobe. On the dorsum, a scale-tooth at twothirds. Hindwing greyish dark brown, rather darkened toward apex. On the third lobe scale-tooth developed at four-fifths followed with several small blackish scales along the third lobe.
Male genitalia ( Figures 19–21 View Figures 14–23 ). Uncus pointed towards apex. Tegumen deeply incised medially; depth of incision longer than half of tegumen. Valvae slender, symmetrical; scacculus long, extended to six-sevenths of valvae length. Juxta very small, with short lateral lobes. Aedeagus long, about three-fifths length of valva, curved two-thirds basally.
Female genitalia ( Figures 27–28 View Figures 24–30 ). Caudal lobes of papillae analis digitate; close to each other. Apophysis posterioris long, as long as the antrum. Apophysis anterioris absent. Antrum long, tube-like, almost twice the length of eighth segment, with dense curled hairs laterally. Ductus bursae narrow, 1.5 times the length of corpus bursae; ductus seminalis arising from just before conjunction with corpus bursae. Corpus bursae ovate, with a pair of leaf-like signa medially.
