Diagnosis. The new species is similar to M. flavilineata Kitajima et Sakamaki, 2019 in the forewing pattern. It can be distinguished in the male genitalia by the inverted U-shaped tegumen almost evenly wide, the saccus shorter than the uncus and the aedeagus without compact fine spines; and in the female genitalia by the eighth tergite straight on the posterior margin, the extremely elongate corpus bursae about 3.5 times the length of ductus bursae, and the absence of the signum. In M. flavilineata , the sub-trapezoidal tegumen is narrowed medially, the saccus is longer than the uncus and the aedeagus has compact fine spines; and the eighth tergite is broadly concave medially on the posterior margin, the corpus bursae is nearly as long as the ductus bursae, and the signum is present.
Description. Adult ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 9–14 ). Forewing length 5.0‾ 5.5 mm.
Head with vertex blackish brown; frons yellow; occiput blackish brown, with yellow scales laterally. Labial palpus yellow; second segment with blackish-brown scales in basal 3/4 on outer surface, with blackish-brown ring at distal 1/4 and at apex respectively; third segment approximately half length of second segment, with a blackishbrown ring medially. Antenna yellow, scape mixed with blackish brown; flagellum annulated with blackish brown on dorsal surface.
Thorax and tegula blackish brown, mixed with yellow. Forewing with costal margin arched, apex narrowly rounded; ground colour blackish brown, with an irregular yellow spot at base below costal margin; costal margin with inner yellow spot running from basal 2/5 to distal 1/3 of fold, parallel anteriorly, widened posteriorly, mixed with black scales, distal yellow spot at distal 1/5, inverted triangular, with a black dot in middle anteriorly; dorsal yellow spot smaller, diffused to inner costal spot, with a black spot on its outside; fold with a black spot placed on inner margin of inner costal spot; cell with black spot at anterior and posterior angles respectively, separated by a large yellow spot; fringe blackish brown. Hindwing and fringe yellowish brown. Legs yellow; on ventral surface, fore coxa as well as femora of fore- and midlegs with blackish-brown scales, tibiae of fore- and midlegs blackish brown, yellow apically, hind tibia greyish black, yellowish white apically, tarsi of fore- and midlegs blackish brown except yellow at apices of basal two and apical one tarsomeres, hind tarsus blackish brown except yellow at apex of each tarsomere, all femora with blackish-brown scales.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 36 View FIGURES 31–36 ). Uncus widened at basal 1/4, almost evenly slender from basal 1/4 to basal 3/4, then dilated to obtuse apex. Gnathos sclerotized laterally, straight, right-angled posterolaterally, slightly narrowed distally. Tegumen inverted U-shaped, almost evenly wide. Valva narrow basally, widened distally; apex rounded, with compact dense stout setae; ventral margin heavily sclerotized, with a large tooth before apex; costa narrowed distally, reaching pre-apex of valva; transtilla short, triangular. Sacculus sub-quadrate; apex with a narrow sclerotized band, produced ventroapically and forming a setose triangular process; ventral margin straight. Saccus wide at base, narrowed from base to narrowly rounded apex; much shorter than uncus. Juxta arched, semi-circular. Aedeagus nearly same length as valva; basal 3/5 tubular, widened medially, with several spines or small sclerites at distal 1/3, with a narrower band from distal 2/5 and a wider band from distal 1/4 extending toward apex, joined beyond apex and curved in C-shape.
Female genitalia ( Fig. 51 View FIGURES 47–51 ). Papillae anales sub-rounded, setose. Apophyses anteriores approximately half length of apophyses posteriores. Eighth tergite straight on posterior margin, slightly concave on anterior margin. Eighth sternal plate narrowly and deeply incised from middle of posterior margin to anterior margin, forming two rounded lateral lobes lined with long setae. Lamella antevaginalis with ventral surface sub-rectangular, posterior margin straight, with 3–4 denticles at each side, anterior margin shallowly concave medially, produced to a large rounded process anterolaterally; dorsal surface slenderly banded, arched backward. Ductus bursae membranous, evenly wide, with dense granules in anterior half; ductus seminalis from ductus bursae posteriorly. Corpus bursae extremely elongate, about 3.5 times length of ductus bursae, sub-ovate, granulous; signum absent.
Distribution. China (Fujian, Zhejiang).
Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Greek meco - and bursoides, referring to the extremely elongate corpus bursae.
