Notes. The type series included the male holotype and three male paratypes. The NHM has the holotype, as well as one paratype. There is a female specimen labeled allotype, additionally labeled “no type status” by N.P. Wyatt. The labels with the holotype are: “HOLO- / TYPE” [printed in black on a rounded label with red border]” // “HOLOTIPO [printed in black on a rose label with black border]” // “ Brasilien / Nova Teutonia / 27º 11’ S 52º 23’ W / Fritz Plaumann / 9.7.[hw]193[pr]8[hw]” // “Brit. Mus. / 1938-682 // “BMNH(E) # / 257336” // “ HOLOTYPE ♂ of / Epicypta (Callicypta) / baicarisi Lane, 1954 / det. N.P. Wyatt 2002”. The holotype is in good condition, not dissected. The paratype number is BMNH(E) # 257337 .

The type series included the male holotype, a female allotype, six male and ten female paratypes, of which the holotype, three male and two female paratypes, and seven specimens with the missing abdomen are at the NHM. Both antennae, the right mid- and hindlegs, and the left foreleg are missing. The entire abdomen of the holotype was removed for dissection of the male terminalia. The allotype and the paratypes collection number are BMNH(E) # 257261-73 .

Notes. The type series included only the male holotype. There are some identified specimens in the collection and a female with a label “ALOTIPO”, to which a label of “no type status” by N.P. Wyatt 2002 has been added.

E. johannseni ( Lane) 1947a: 354 ( Delopsis ). Type-locality: Brazil, São Paulo, Campos do Jordão. Holotype ♂, MZUSP.

E. TAUNAY (Lane) 1948a: 249, figs. 9, 47 (♂ terminalia) ( Mycetophila ). Brazil, São Paulo, Salesópolis, Estação Biológica de Boracéia. Holotype ♂, MZUSP.

Notes. The type series included the male holotype and one male paratype. The type series of E. taunay included the male holotype, a female allotype, six male and 12 female paratypes, of which three paratypes are at the NHM ( BMNH (E) # 256943-5), all with the abdomen missing. There are many identified specimens from the typelocality, some with the terminalia dissected and mounted between microslides .

The type series included the male holotype, a female allotype, three male and five female paratypes, of which one male and one female paratypes ( BMNH (E) # 257175-6) are at the NHM, besides some other identified specimens from Nova Teutônia and one from Campos do Jordão, the type-locality .

E. macunai Lane 1954b: 136 , fig. 14 (♂ terminalia). Type-locality: Brazil, São Paulo, Salesópolis, Estação Biológica de Boracea. Holotype ♂, MZUSP.

Notes. The type series included the male holotype and two male paratypes. There is a single male paratype at the

NHM (BMNH(E) # 257259).

E. rabelloi ( Lane) 1948a: 275 , figs. 23, 58 (♂ terminalia) ( Delopsis ). Type-locality: Brazil, São Paulo, Salesópolis, Estação Biológica de Boracea. Holotype ♂, MZUSP.

Notes. The type series included the male holotype, a female allotype, two male and four female paratypes, of which a male paratype ( BMNH (E) # 257282), collected in Salesópolis (Estação Biológica de Boracéia) are at the NHM, besides a specimen labelled “topótipo”, from the same locality, but with no type-status. A number of specimens from Nova Teutônia have been identified as belonging to S. rabelloi , but their conspecificity is questionable .

The male holotype is at the NHM , as well as an allotype, a male and three female paratypes, and a paratype with missing abdomen. The distal part of the abdomen was removed from the holotype for dissection of the terminalia. There is a female allotype labeled, and five paratypes, one of which with the male terminalia dissected ( BMNH (E) # 257339-44) .
