Notes. Following Papavero’s (1978: 12) indication, M. rufa Macquart, 1826 , makes Lane’s (1948a) name for this species, originally described in Delopsis unavailable. A new name is given here for the species. There are three paratypes at the NHM, numbered BMNH(E) # 257002-4. One is a female, one has fallen off its point and one is severely damaged. There are a number of other identified specimens from the type-locality which are most probably conspecific with the holotype.
