IDentificAtion. Individuals were observed foraging on mudflats with other scolopacid species. We identified C. melanotos by its brown, mixed with black-brown crown, neck, face, breast, and upperparts, white belly, and oliveyellow bill and legs ( Erize et al. 2006; Van Gils et al. 2018).
