Examined type material – Oxytelopsis jaljulensis Coiffait – Holotype (f): “ Nepal XI- [19]78-3; JaljaleHimal ; 2920 m [leg.] PC[assagnau]-3 \ Oxytelopsis ; jaljalensis; H. Coiffait det. 1983 \ Type [red card]” ( MNHP).

Other material – NEPAL: Panchthar distr., Dhorpar Kharka [27°04.5’N, 87°55.5’E], mature Rhododendron - Lithocarpus forest, 2700 m, 13-16.IV.[19]88, [leg.] J. Martens & W. Schawaller (324) (1 m, MHNG); Taplejungdistr., OmjeKharkaNWYamputhin [27°27.4’N, 87°53.2’E], maturemixedbroad-leavedforest, 2300–2500 m, 1-6. V.[19]88, [leg.] J. Martens & W. Schawaller (356) (1 m, SMNS).

Redescription – Measurements (in mm, n=2): HW = 0.67 (0.65–0.68); TW = 0.60 (0.59– 0.61); PW = 0.88 (0.86–0.90); EW = 0.87 (0.85–0.88); AW = 0.98 (0.95–1.00); HL = 0.54 (0.53– 0.54); EL = 0.11 (0.11–0.11); TL = 0.22 (0.21–0.22); PL = 0.60 (0.59–0.60); SC = 0.41 (0.38–0.43); FB = 1.64 (1.59–1.68); BL = 3.51 (3.43–3.59). Habitus as in Fig. 87 View Figs 86–87 . Forebody moderately shin- ingdespitesculpture, abdomenwithcoriaceousmicrosculpture, moderatelyfinelyand shallowlypunctured, lesslustrous. Bodyreddishmediumtodarkbrownexceptanterior marginofhead, lateralmarginofpronotum, antennomeres 1–4 andmouthpartsmedium brown, apexoflastantennomereoccasionallyalsolighter. Headwithanteriormargin truncateinmiddle, obliquetosupraantennaltubercles (asmoderatelyelevatedoblique ridges) wheregentlyangledagain, possessingslightrim (obsoleteatfront), discslightly impressedneareyes. Epistomalsutureformingsubcircularimpression (almostunpunc- turedinside), uppersurfacewithouttactilesetae, eyessmallandextremelybulging (like halfsphere); indorsalviewtemples (twicethelengthofeye) alatiform, laterallyunevenly rounded (slightlyangled) andposteriorlyconstrictedtoformdistinctneck, however, dor- salsidenotseparatedbyoccipitalfurrow, ratherbydorsumofneckbearingmicrosculptureinsteadofpunctation. Antennomere 1 flattenedclub-shapedandsmooth, segment 2 basallybroadovoid, segment 3 apicallyincrassate, segment 4 almostround, segments 5–11 withbasaldishes, articles 6–10 aboutaslongasbroad. Headandpronotumwithmostly lacunosesculpture. Pronotumwithlateralportionexplanateandslightlyup-turned, edge withafewshortsetae, lateralborderunevenlyarchedwithanumberofsmall, irregularly distributeddenticles, posteriormarginslightlyconcavebeforecorners; discmediallyrath- erconvex, withtwofaint, parallellongitudinalridges, laterallyimpressedaroundmiddle ofsides. Elytrawithverythinmembranousposteriormarginextendingfromsuturalcor- nertolateral 3/4 ofhindmargin, asmallincision- likethinningbeforeoutercorner. Elytral epipleuralridgepresentwithup-turnedlateralalatiformportions, discdepressed; shouldersmoderatelydeveloped, surfacefoveolate, inbetweenpuncturestorulose. Legsshort, pro-andmesotibiawithseveralspinuloserows, metatibiawithlongitudinalctenidiumof spinulesindistalhalf. Abdomenwithsidesweaklyarcuate, secondsegmentwithpara- tergitesstronglybroadeningposteriorly (abdomenappearingconstrictedatbase), those ofsegmentsIII–VIIthin, mesalparatergitesbroad. Distribution – The species is only known from a couple of localities in the easternmostpartofNepal.

Remarks – Itappearsthatthename jaljulensis asprintedintheoriginal descriptionisaresultofmisreadingthelocality: thelabelsaysJaljalaHimal andevenontheauthor’ shandwrittennamelabelthespecificepithetisclearly ‘jaljalensis’. Butinordertoemendthename, theremustbeevidenceofalap-
