Chorotype. Europeo-Mediterranean.
Distribution in North Africa. Morocco ( Jäch & Skale 2015; Villastrigo et al. 2020).
Moroccan distribution. Rif and Pré-Rif: Tanger, Tétouan and Nador ( Bennas et al. 2001). Oriental Plateau: Figuig ( Chavanon et al. 2004). Central Plateau: Kénitra (Orchymont 1935; Kocher 1938) and Rabat ( Kocher 1958). Middle Atlas: Midelt ( Alluaud 1926) and Ifrane ( Alluaud 1926; Dakki 1979; Jäch & Delgado 2008). High Atlas: Ouarzazate ( Kocher 1969) .
Remark. Previously recorded as O. viridis sp. 1 sensu Jäch (1992).
