Diagnosis. Close to P. andoque n. sp., differing from it in the pigmented area of the subgenital plate (compare Figs 11 View FIGURES 8–13 and 77 View FIGURES 74–79 ), in the shape of v2+3, with a distinct prominence in the inner border, next to the distal process, absent in P. mutisi , and in the shape of the ninth sternum, larger and of three areas in P. andoque , and distinctly smaller and of two areas in P. mutisi (compare Figs 13 View FIGURES 8–13 and 79 View FIGURES 74–79 ).
Color. Body dark brown, with cream spots. Head brown, with few pale spots ( Fig. 76 View FIGURES 74–79 ), compound eyes black, ocelli hyaline, with ochre centripetal crescents. Vertex light brown, with pale brown spots; front with brown spot, with ochre transversal band between the inner borders of each compound eye below the lower edge of the ocellar triangle to the epistomal sulcus. Labrum, anteclypeus, postclypeus and mandibles dark brown. Postclypeus with converging brown slender bands on each side. Genae dark brown with light brown spots. Postgenae light brown (same pattern as in P. andoque ). Antennae: scape and pedicel dark brown, flagellomeres 1-2 light brown, 3-11 brown, with apices cream. Maxillary palps dark brown. Tergal lobes of meso- and metathorax dark brown to ochre. Thoracic pleura brown, with ochre spot. Legs: fore-, middle coxae and trochanters brown, femora brown proximally; hind coxae, trochanters and femora light brown, hind femora with preapical ochre spot; tibiae and tarsi 2-3 pale brown, tarsi 1 light brown. Forewings mostly hyaline ( Fig. 44 View FIGURES 44–49 ). Hindwings hyaline, veins brown. Abdomen dark brown to ochre, with small, cream irregular spots. Clunium brown; subgenital plate dark brown laterally, hyaline mesally ( Fig. 47 View FIGURES 44–49 ). Gonapophyses: v1 light brown, with longitudinal band dark brown, v2+3 dark brown to light brown; IX sternum light brown ( Fig. 49 View FIGURES 44–49 ). Paraprocts and epiproct pale brown ( Fig. 48 View FIGURES 44–49 ).
Morphology. Head ( Fig. 76 View FIGURES 74–79 ) H/MxW: 1.32; compound eyes large, H/d: 3.90; IO/MxW: 0.80. Vertex at the same level as the upper border of the compound eyes; outer cusp of lacinial tips broad, with 7-8 denticles. Mx4/Mx2: 1.19. Forewings ( Fig. 74 View FIGURES 74–79 ) L/W: 2.60; pterostigma: lp/wp: 5.39, elongate, wider in the middle; M seven-branched, M2 forked; areola postica: la/ha: 1.18, tall, broadly triangular, apically rounded. Hindwings ( Fig. 75 View FIGURES 74–79 ) l/w: 2.84; M three-branched. Subgenital plate ( Fig. 77 View FIGURES 74–79 ) wide, setose, with posterior border rounded, bearing a row of setae. Gonapophyses ( Fig. 79 View FIGURES 74–79 ): v1 elongate, wide and acuminate, bearing microspicules on surface; v2+3 with a proximal slender heel, v2 with a row of 3 macrosetae; distal process long, sinuous and acuminate, bearing microspicules on surface. Ninth sternum ( Fig. 79 View FIGURES 74–79 ) oval, wider anteriorly. Paraprocts ( Fig. 78 View FIGURES 74–79 ) triangular, apex broadly rounded, with long and short setae posteriorly, sensory fields with 30–32 trichobothria on basal rosettes. Epiproct ( Fig. 78 View FIGURES 74–79 ) triangular, wide basally, apex broadly rounded, with long and short setae on sides and posteriorly.
