( Figs 2–13 View FIGURES 2–7 View FIGURES 8–13 )

Diagnosis. Related to P. canoae n. sp., P. hernandezi n. sp., and P. caguanensis n. sp., by having the central sclerite of the hypandrium with postero-lateral long processes widely separated ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 2–7 ); it is closer to P. caguanensis n. sp. by having the forewings with a marginal pigmented band from R1 to 1A and by having the lateral endophallic sclerites bow shaped.

Male. Color. Body dark brown, with creamy spots. Head brown, with few pale spots ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 2–7 ), oblique dark brown bands from the inner margin of each compound eye to the epistomal sulcus, surrounding the antennal fossae. Compound eyes black, ocelli hyaline, with ochre centripetal crescents. Vertex pale brown, with pale spots. Postclypeus with converging brown slender bands on each side. Genae dark brown with small pale spots. Postgenae creamy. Antennae: scape and pedicel brown, flagellomeres pale brown, with apices cream. Maxillary palps brown. Tergal lobes of meso- and metathorax dark brown. Thoracic pleura ochre, with light brown areas on pro- and metapleura. Legs: fore-, middle coxae and trochanters dark brown; hind coxae, femora and trochanters cream; fore- and middle femora dark brown proximally, cream distally; tibiae brown, tarsi brown. Forewings hyaline ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 2–7 ), with a marginal brown band from R1 to distal half of 1A, veins brown; pterostigma dark brown. Hindwings hyaline ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 2–7 ), veins brown. Abdomen dark brown, with small, pale cream irregular spots. Clunium brown, hypandrium and paraprocts dark brown, epiproct cream.

Morphology. Head ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 2–7 ). H/MxW: 1.42; compound eyes large, H/d: 3.85; IO/MxW: 0.77; vertex at the same level as the upper border of the compound eyes; outer cusp of lacinial tips broad, with 5–6 short, rounded denticles. Mx4/Mx2: 1.17. Forewings ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 2–7 ) L/W: 2.71; pterostigma: lp/wp: 5.52; M seven-branched; areola postica: la/ha: 1.03, tall, narrow, distally rounded. Hindwings ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 2–7 ) l/w: 3.65; M three-branched. Central sclerite of the hypandrium with abundant macrosetae on each side of the longitudinal midline ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 2–7 ); apices of posterior processes of the central sclerite bidentate. Side sclerites long, narrow, each with an irregular process posteriorly on inner border. Phallosome ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 2–7 ) anteriorly Y-shaped; five endophallic sclerites; anterior pair triangular; mesal sclerite broadly trapeziform, with posterior median process pointed; lateral endophallic sclerites bow shaped, dilated distally, with a small pointed process. Paraprocts ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 2–7 ) oval, with abundant distal setae as illustrated; sensory fields with 33–35 trichobothria on basal rosettes. Epiproct ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 2–7 ) convex anteriorly, broadly rounded posteriorly, with few setae as illustrated and a field of microspiculae posteriorly.
