Xyleborus cuspidus Schedl, 1975: 363 View in CoL . syn. nov.
Remarks. The holotype of X. halli (NHMUK) was compared to images of the X. cuspidus holotype (NHMW) and found to be conspecific. The species is transferred to Stictodex Hulcr & Cognato, 2013 because of the following characteristics: antennal club very broad, obliquely truncate (type 2), with segment 1 straight, elytral declivity with first and second interstriae divergent, broadest at elytral summit, declivity flat and gradually sloped, scutellum flat, flush with elytra; mycangial tufts absent; protibiae inflated on posterior face.
Distribution. East Malaysia, Papua New Guinea.
