Family Hoplolaimidae Filipjev, 1934
124. Helicotylenchus sp. —{22} (5, 0, 0, 0; 1)
Population structure and abundance. Single female.
Ecology and distribution. The majority of representatives of the genus are edaphobionts, some species occur in water bodies as well. Presumably, certain species may dwell in water constantly, parasitizing aquatic plants ( Bert & Borgonie 2006).
Remarks. The genus Helicotylenchus is the richest in Tylenchina (about 200 valid species) ( Andrássy 2007). In the water bodies of Vietnam, five species have been recorded ( Nguyen & Nguyen 2005). We failed to determine the species identity of this female since all features are not clearly visible on the mount.
