Type material: Possible type material: ZMB /Arach285343( GBIF 2022) .

Type locality: Germany, in Brandenburg ( Protz 1896) .

Geographical distribution: Holarctic ( Di Sabatino et al. 2010).

Distribution in Portugal: North: International Minho River ( Cantallo et al. 2021), in the tributary section “Rio Mouro, Ponte do Curto” (Monção municipality, 42º4′29.27″N, 8º23′39.12″W); Centre: Beira Litoral ( Valdecasas 1988), in Fonte Fria, Mealhada, Buçaco mountain ( Lundblad 1956).

Material examined: 1 undetermined sex adult; Ponte do Curto , Portugal; 42º4′29.27″N; 24 September 2020; coll. by Aquamuseu Team; catalogue number NatMIP-CATr-0012 .

Ecological notes: On muddy sediment in streams, feeds on chironomid larvae ( Di Sabatino et al. 2010). Present in macrophytes( Cantallo et al. 2021).

Remarks: First record mentioned for Minho River ( Cantallo et al. 2021), and also represents the first occurrence for North Portugal.
