Elaphoglossum productum Rosenst., Repert. View in CoL Spec. Nov. Regni Veg. 6: 315. 1909. ( Fig. 48E–H View FIGURE 48 )
Range: —Venezuelan tepuis; Andes of Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, and Bolivia (BE, CO, LP); to be expected in Peru.
Ecology: —Uncommon; epiphytic in humid forests; (300–) 700–1750 m.
Notes: —The rhizomes are more compact and the rhizome scales are longer and paler than in E. buchtienii or E. dolichopus . The divided blade scales are reminiscent of those of E. glaucescens and E. subarborescens , but these have brown blade scales and narrower leaves with relatively longer petioles. Specimens of E. productum from lower elevations ( 300–450 m) have thinner blade texture, longer petioles, and shorter rhizome scales, and may represent a distinct species.
