This genus has three described species ( Wygodzinsky 1947c). A synopsis of Erbessus Stål, 1872 and a key to separate the species was given by Wygodzinsky (1947c). E. grossus was recorded previously from Brazil and Peru ( Fracker & Bruner 1924; Maldonado 1990). The specimens listed below are the first record from Colombia ( Fig. 45 View FIGURES 43 – 51 ). This species seems to be restricted to the Amazon basin.
