Tydides Stål, 1865 , has four described species ( Maldonado 1990). Lent & Jurberg (1967) in their revision of the genus only mentioned T. quator from Colombia. Even though T. rufus is a widespread species in the Neotropical region, this is a new record from Colombia ( Fig. 50 View FIGURES 43 – 51 ).
