Comment: The two type specimens are not conspecific. A lectotype was designated by Hennemann & Conle (in press), which is Phanocloidea muricata (Burmeister, 1838) . The PLT (larger specimen with a longer median segment) is Phanocloidea laticauda (Bates, 1865) .
