Like 1 but leaves 1-6 x 0-4-3 cm, oblong; flowering stems, calyx and capsule finely hairy to subglabrous; fruiting pedicel 1-4 cm. 2/z= 16. Naturalized in rivers in S.W. France. [Ga.] (North and South America.)
