Description
Immature stages. Indistinguishable from those of Smicridea (R.) pampeana Flint.
Biology
The larvae and pupae were collected in environments similar to those of S. (R.) pampeana , and on the submerged roots of the riparian trees.

ARGENTINA: Buenos Aires Province: Arroyo Helves, Km 169, Route 8, near Arrecifes, 25.i.2002, Sganga & Angrisano, 20 larvae, 2 pharate females; Pergamino, Arroyo Pergamino, 18.i.2002, Sganga & Angrisano, 12 larvae, 1 pupa, 1 pharate female; Arroyo Maguire, Km 195, Route 8, 17.i.2003, Sganga & Angrisano, 12 larvae, 4 pharate females, 9 pharate males; Sierra de la Ventana, Arroyo Napostá Grande, 19–24.i.1984, 232 larvae, 3 pharate females, 2 pharate males; Corrientes Province: Río Payubre, 27.ix.2003, Angrisano, 1 larva, 1 pharate male; Entre Ríos Province: Victoria, Arroyo Salaberry, 102 larvae, 1 pharate male; Arroyo 6 Km south Victoria, 23–26. iii.1981, 24 larvae.
