Diagnosis (emended from Armenteros et al. 2014)
Head capsule conspicuous, characterized by thickened cuticle and mostly with external demarcation between labial and cephalic regions, except in Sibayinema Swart and Heyns 1991 ( Verschelde et al. 2006). Fovea amphidialis not surrounded by cuticular striations; may be located on cuticularized plate. Buccal cavity always with distinct teeth. Cuticle usually coarsely striated, in some cases with ornamentation.
