L. deliense sinense : fSc: PL ≥ AM> AL; DS = 28; VS = 21; NDV = 49; Ip = 620–648; AW 56–61, PW 69–72, SB 26–28, ASB 23–25, PSB 14, SD 38, AP 24–25, AM 42–43, AL 35–37, PL 43–49, S 50–51, H 43, D min 39–40, D max 42–43, V min 27, V max 39–40, pa 205, pm 185, pp 230.

Type data. Indonesia, North Sumatra Province, Medan, from Homo sapiens L. ( L. deliense ); China, Taiwan Province, Penghu Islands, from Rattus exulans (Peale) ( L. deliense sinense ); China, Hainan Province, Paracel Islands, from Rattus tanezumi Temminck [= Rattus flavipectus (Milne-Edwards) ] ( L. deliense microsetosa ).
Remarks. Vercammen-Grandjean and Langston (1976) give fPp = N/N/BNB for L. deliense in the text of description. This is an obvious error, because in their figures, identification key, and the section concerning species grouping, fPp = N/N/BNN.
Subspecies L. deliense sinense and L. deliense microsetosa have no significant differences from the nominate subspecies. Their diagnoses do not allow identification of new materials. Therefore, I consider these forms as examples of individual variation within the same species.
