51. Leptotrombidium longimedian Brown, 1992
Leptotrombidium (Leptotrombidium) longimedian Brown, 1992: 285 , fig. 2.
Leptotrombidium (Leptotrombidium) mindanensis Brown, 1992: 286 , fig. 3, syn. nov.
Diagnosis. fPp = N/N/BNN; Pc = 3; Gn = 2; fSc: AM> PL> AL; SB/PL; fCx = 1.1.1; fSt = 2.2; fD = 2H-8-6-6-4- 2; DS = 28; VS = 20–22; NDV = 48–50; Ip = 748–805; AW 69–79, PW 81–96, SB 33–37, ASB 22–31, PSB 12– 20, SD 42, AP 24–34, AM 58–60, AL 30–35, PL 50–56, S 80, H 50–54, D min 54, D max 57, V min 27–30, V max 40–42, pa 253–271, pm 214–244, pp 266–295.
L. mindanensis: DS = 28; VS = 20–21; NDV = 48–49; Ip = 713–795; AW 59–72, PW 71–85, SB 28–34, ASB 24–28, PSB 14, SD 40, AP 30–32, AM 52–62, AL 32–37, PL 50–58, S 66–81, H 47–58, D min 48, D max 59, V min 23– 31, V max 36–48, pa 208–244 (?), pm 208–244, pp 259–279.
Type data. Philippines, Mindanao Island, from Bullimus bagobus Mearns (= Rattus rabori Sanborn ) ( L. longimedian ) and Macaca fascicularis philippensis (I. Geoffroy) ( L. mindanensis ).
Remarks. None of the characters of L. mindanensis (including those given by its author in the key to species) allows separating it from L. longimedian . Therefore I consider the former species as a synonym of the latter.
Species group furcagaleala
