Type data. Philippines, Mindanao Island, from Bullimus bagobus Mearns (= Rattus rabori Sanborn ) ( L. longimedian ) and Macaca fascicularis philippensis (I. Geoffroy) ( L. mindanensis ).

Remarks. None of the characters of L. mindanensis (including those given by its author in the key to species) allows separating it from L. longimedian . Therefore I consider the former species as a synonym of the latter.

Galeal seta furcate, rarely tri- or tetrafurcate; microtarsala I (famulus, f 1) peglike, vs. pointed, and situated clearly proximal to tarsala (S 1), vs. distal in most part of Leptotrombidium species ; corners of posterior scutal margin sinuous.
